BIRDS-EYE VIEW

THE BIRD'S-EYE VIEW

In the oblique perspective the scene is viewed at a slight angle instead of straight down.  This perspective can enhance the feel of flying over a landscape and can give a painting a little more visual  tension that allows for some interesting angles and shadows. The sprawling farm properties and large open areas provide ample opportunity for color and texture experimentation and the silos and trees jutting out of the flat earth accentuate the illusion of depth. Ideally, these pieces enhance the slightly skewed feel of seeing a common rural scene in a unique and interesting way.
